Maybe you remember me. I’m the girl who chose the world instead of a school desk.
And guess what? Our big adventure is kind of finished – and also kind of not: We traveled around the whole world twice! 🌎🌍
Once westbound and once eastbound. So one time this way… and one time the other way around. I think that’s pretty cool, because now I really know the Earth is round and that you can reach everywhere in more than one way.
After that, we spent six weeks in Germany. That was nice because we saw family and old friends. But Mom and Dad realized that Germany doesn’t really fit us anymore. Especially schools didn’t feel right for my brother and me – and a lot of things seem a bit broken. That’s how grown-ups explain it, anyway.
So we decided:
👉 We’ll keep moving for now. Right now, we’re on lots of cruises for three months. We’re traveling through the Caribbean, to Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, St. Kitts and Nevis, Grenada, Aruba, Curaçao, Bonaire – and even all the way to New York (the buildings there are HUGE!).
In Puerto Rico, something totally magical happens:
There are tiny little living things in the water that glow at night when you swim. When you move, the water lights up blue – like jumping into liquid stars ✨🌊
On Aruba and Curaçao, the beaches are super white. The sand is so bright it almost hurts your eyes.
The U.S. Virgin Islands feel like postcards, St. Kitts and Nevis are like jungle-meets-ocean, Grenada smells like spices, and in Bonaire the water is so clear you can see fish without even going in.
After all that, we’ll sail across the Atlantic again and head back to Europe. I love it when the ship is huge and the ocean is even bigger.
This year, Mom and Dad are looking for a place that might be right for us to stay. Somewhere that fits our family better. Where schools are more fun, kids can explore more, and where my brother and I have good chances for our future.
To me, it feels like a treasure hunt – just without a map.
And of course, I’m still learning. Math on the ocean, reading with the sound of waves, and geography right in front of my eyes. School doesn’t really get better than that.
I’ll take you with me again this time:
I’ll write, draw, film, and collect stories from all over the world. 🌴🚢🗺️
So stay here and check back sometimes – because my journey is far from over.
This way to my logbook
So… just imagine: I'm almost seven years old – and my parents have decided that I won’t be going to school anymore. Not because they don’t like letters or numbers (they actually like them a lot), but because they had a totally crazy idea: We’re going on a trip around the world!
With real ships! Like, really real ones! Not cardboard boxes in the bathtub, but actual ones that sail – across the sea!
We’ll travel through Europe, sail to America, scurry through Asia, chug along to Australia, and search for wild animals in Africa (hopefully not the kind that want to eat me). We’ll cross the huge Atlantic Ocean (I’m taking at least five floaties with me), crack the International Date Line in the middle of the Pacific (suddenly it’s yesterday again – like, Wednesday comes after Wednesday – totally crazy!) and even sail around Cape Agulhas – that’s at the very bottom of Africa, where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans have their stormy arguments.
And here’s the best part: My school actually said, “Yes, go for it!” They think it’s awesome – and so do I! I get to learn on the road. With real coconuts instead of school milk, jungle sounds instead of the recess bell, and my mom and dad as teachers (who secretly have to peek at the answers sometimes).
I’m super excited! For foreign countries, new friends, crazy animals, weird food (maybe bugs – eww!), and a new adventure every single day.
And you know what? School on a ship is like doing math on a trampoline: a little wobbly – but way more fun.
But one thing I know for sure: I’m going to miss my old friends a whole lot.
Luckily, there’s the internet – and tons of stories to tell when I get back!
And the best part: You can follow my journey right here on this website!
I’ll be writing, drawing, maybe even making a video – and if you want to write to me, just do it! I’d be super happy to hear from you. 💌🌍
